How To Adjust Relative Humidity on The ELITE V2

Purpose

Upon receipt of your ELITE V2 Test System, you may find the relative humidity display does not match the RH of your environment. This is normal. You can make adjustments to the RH so it better matches that of your environment.

Equipment Needed

  • Elite V2
  • Power Cord for ELITE V2
  • RH Meter (Calibrated)
  • RJ45 Cable
  • PC

Key Definitions

  • Offset value is a percentage of the number displayed on the ELITE
  • Max Adjustment Value ∓ 99

Before You Begin

  • Make sure the ELITE is connected to your network, or directly connected to a PC via ethernet.
  • Open the ELITE WebUI via the device IP address or hostname and navigate to Test Settings. Here you will find the field to adjust the RH (Relative Humidity) offset.

Procedure

Process has been updated for ELITE V2 firmware 3X. See below for adjusting humidity readings based on firmware version.

FW 3X

  1. Use the following formula to calculate the offset
    • RH1 − RH2
      • RH1 is the reading from the environment meter
      • RH2 is the reading displayed on the ELITE
  2. Enter the result into the Humidity Display Offset field in the ELITE WebUI
  3. Click Save

FW ≤ 1.02.08

  1. Measure and record an environment reading with your RH Meter
  2. Observe and record the RH reading on the ELITE V2 ESD Test System
  3. Use the following formula to calculate the offset
    • ( (RH1 − RH2) ÷ RH1 ) × 100
      • RH1 highest value
      • RH2 lowest value
  4. Enter the result as the offset into the Humidity Display Adjustment in the ELITE WebUI
  5. Click Save

Examples

FW 3X

ELITE RH is lower than RH of Environment
Meter = 43
ELITE = 27

RH1 - RH2
43 − 27  =  16

Adjustment Value = 16

ELITE RH is higher than RH of Environment
Meter = 18
ELITE = 66

RH1 - RH2
18 − 66  =  −48

Adjustment Value = -48

FW ≤ 1.02.08

ELITE RH is lower than RH of Environment
Meter = 43
ELITE = 27

( (RH1 − RH2) ÷ RH1 ) × 100
  43 − 27  =  16
  16 ÷ 43  = .37
 .37 × 100 =  37

Adjustment Value = 37

ELITE RH is higher than RH of Environment
Meter = 18
ELITE = 66

( (RH1 − RH2) ÷ RH1 ) × 100
  18 − 66  =  −48
 −48 ÷ 66  = −.73
−.73 × 100 =  −73

Adjustment Value = -73
