Sentinel Button Codes

Purpose:

Button codes are used to perform informational and maintenance tasks on your Sentinel device(s).

Equipment Needed:

  • Sentinel V2 and power cord

Device Info:

Displays Serial Number, IP address, etc.

  • Single Short Press

Calibration Mode:

Puts the unit in calibration mode. It is normal for the unit to go in and out of its serial number screen while you do this.

  • 12 Short (1/2 second) Presses

Clock Set Bypass:

Allows the unit to bypass needing it’s time to be set. There is no UI indication when the unit does this.

  • 1 Medium long (10 second) Press

Factory Reset:

Resets the unit to factory defaults. *

Note that when the button is first pressed, you’ll get the TCP. etc. screen, then after about 25 seconds that will go away. KEEP HOLDING THE BUTTON! Eventually, you’ll get a screen that says it is resetting to factory defaults, which takes a while to accomplish (about a minute).

  • 1 LONG (> 30 seconds) Press
