100000000 ohms resistor @1% (100M)
1000000000 ohms resistor @1% (1000M)

*Some RJ45 breakout boards require a small Cat6 patch cable, others come built in.

Start Calibration Mode

  1. While holding the number “1” key, power up your ELITE V2.
  2. Follow the onscreen instructions to enter Calibration Mode.
    1. Optionally, Calibration Mode may be enabled using the ELITE WebUI.
      1. Connect your ELITE V2 to a network (or directly to your PC).
      2. Hold the “#” key to retrieve the IP Address from the ELITE V2.
      3. Using a computer or mobile device, enter the ELITE’s IP Address into a web browser.
        1. Note – The Elite and the browsing device need to be on the same network.
      4. Navigate to the Calibration page in the WebUI.
      5. Click the button labeled Calibration Mode at the bottom of the page to put the ELITE V2 to Calibration Mode.

Preparing for Calibration

  • Connect the RJ45 breakout board to the RJ45 footplate jack on your ELITE (located on the bottom panel, left hand side, next to the relays).
    • Pin 2 Right Foot
    • Pin 3 Ground
    • Pin 4 Left Foot
  • Grounding
    • Connect the Decade Box to a known good ground (typically the negative terminal).
    • Connect Pin 3 of the RJ45 breakout to a known good ground.
      • You may bring these grounds together at the Decade Box.
  • Test Lead
    • Connect one test lead to the Decade Box (typically the positive terminal).

Procedure

Wrist & Smock

  1. Using the test lead connected to the Decade Box, insert the Banana end into the Wrist Strap Port on the ELITE V2. Run the Resistor Decade Box through each of the following resistance values until they all pass.
    1. 10k ohms
    2. 100k ohms
    3. 1M ohms
    4. 10M ohms
    5. 100M ohms
  • Once finished the ELITE will automatically transition to the Smock input.
  1. Replace the test lead from the Wrist Strap port into the Smock input and repeat the same process, run the Resistor Decade Box through each of the following resistance values until they all pass.
    1. 10k ohms
    2. 100k ohms
    3. 1M ohms
    4. 10M ohms
    5. 100M ohms
  • Once finished the ELITE will automatically transition to the Right Foot

Left Foot & Right Foot

  1. Using the test lead connected to the Decade Box, remove it from the Smock input and connect the lead to Pin 4 RJ-45 breakout. Run the Resistor Decade Box through each of the following resistance values until they all pass (Figure D).
    1. 10k ohms
    2. 100k ohms
    3. 1M ohms
    4. 10M ohms
    5. 100M ohms
    6. 1000M ohms
  • Once finished the ELITE will automatically transition to the Left Foot
  1. Replace the test lead from Pin 4 to Pin 2 and repeat the same process, run the Resistor Decade Box through each of the following resistance values until they all pass.
    1. 10k ohms
    2. 100k ohms
    3. 1M ohms
    4. 10M ohms
    5. 100M ohms
    6. 1000M ohms

Calibration is now finished

  • Power cycle your ELITE.
