How to Factory Reset the ELITE V2

The ELITE provides two methods for a factory reset. This is done via keypad or through the ELITE WebUI. In this document we will factory reset the ELITE via keypad.

IMPORTANT – Please note that a factory reset will erase all data. This includes test records, user profiles and hardware settings. It’s advised to take screenshots of the device configuration before reset. Network information, Test Settings, and RFID profiles can be especially helpful. After a factory reset you will need to reconfigure your ELITE.

Procedure

• Unplug the power adapter from the ELITE.
• Press and hold the star key (*) on the ELITE keypad.
• While holding the star key, reinsert the power adapter into the ELITE Tester.
• After the bootloader screen the ELITE will ask you to confirm the factory reset.
• Follow the on screen instructions, cycling through a sequence of # and * key holds.
• Confirmation (IMPORTANT)
• On firmware versions 1 and 2 the ELITE will prompt you to cycle the power.
• On firmware 3X the ELITE will go through a series of functions on the display. Do not power cycle the unit until the ELITE finishes all functional checks and prompts you to cycle the power.
